Harbor House provides programs and services to victims and survivors of domestic abuse in Outagamie and Calumet Counties. In addition to a 55-bed shelter that provides safe, temporary housing to women and children - men can receive housing as well- Harbor House offers one-on-one counseling, group support programs, legal advocacy, economic advocacy (financial literacy, assistance with gov't support programs) transportation programs and a 24/7 Helpline.
The Purple Porch Light Project is designed to raise awareness of Domestic Violence. October is recognized as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. To show support for victims and survivors of Domestic Violence, Harbor House encourages residents of Outagamie and Calumet Counties to change porch lights or outdoor lighting to purple for the month of October. Businesses are welcome to participate as well and any business with a marquee or programmable sign is encouraged to display a supportive message such as; This is our Purple Porch Light.
