The Board on Aging and Long Term Care, Volunteer Ombudsman Program provides advocacy to consumers residing in long-term care facilities, representing consumer rights of dignity, respect and freedom.
Serving residents 60 and over volunteers act as the eyes and ears for the Regional Ombudsman by making unannounced weekly facility visits to assigned facility. By becoming a volunteer you can make a difference in the lives of elders. A New Volunteer Ombudsman Training program begins in September.
