This week we launched a new feature: Song of the Day, highlighting new, emerging, or new to us artists, as well as new songs from Avenue favorites. Avenue listeners have a big appetite for new music and every weekday over the noon hour (about 12:30) we will try to feed that passion. And to introduce you to the project, this week’s Listening Room is a playlist including the first batch of new music featured in Song of the Day. You can click the links below to sample. And, we’ve also created a Spotify playlist,91.1 The Avenue: Song of the Day, where we will compile all the featured songs. Tune in Monday through Friday around 12:30pm for your new music fix. Song of the Day is sponsored by August Haven – bringing you tomorrow’s classics today.

91.1 is the only station I listen to at home. I have donated in the past and will again this year. I am disappointed to hear less of Rob lately and the also to the increase of Country Western music on your playlist. I am looking forward to this new music feature. I would like to hear more Rob. Although Amanda and Steve have many nice selections also.

Hey Rob. I love your show and style of presentation. Not to say I don't enjoy SMT and all the other hosts. What I especially like is the Saturday night album feature with Doctor Pat's commentary. However, I rarely get to listen to the whole show/album. I don't know what costs or technicalities are involved but it would be real cool to be able to access these albums/commentaries in their entirety through the 91.1 website. I personally would be happy donate a few bucks for each album I listened to. I have Spotify and own many of these albums but presented by you and Dr. Pat really makes them special. Thanks!

Hello Rob: I enjoy your music and your wonderful traffic reports, your book of quotes, sports reports as I make my way into work for the evening. You give me that last bit of zen enjoyment to start my nights. Thank you and continue on....
I also enjoy SMT with is unique trivia he brings to us listeners. Great, creative, and entertaining.
Keep up the great work AVENUE, you continue to be THEE alternative in radio.
